I know, I know. I was very late in the game for reading this book. Its been on my “To Be Read” list forever it seems.

I thought it was a good read. I enjoyed the witty banter between Isaac, Hazel, and Gus. A lot of smiles throughout the book, a few tears here and there. The ending, the letter Gus wrote to the author, that made me cry real tears.

I honestly did not like Hazel. She wasn’t a character I could connect with too well, and not because she was sick. I think a big part of it was that I couldn’t help but picture that girl from ‘The Secret Life of the American Teenager’ and I absolutely hated her. They were both kind of selfish.

I some how ended up rating it 4 our of 5 stars.
