Ever since I got pregnant with my second child, I’ve been struggling with acne. I’ve tried just about everything I could think of, within my budget of course.

I’ve tried Aveeno Clear Complexion face cleanser, Biore Witch Hazel cleanser, St. Ives blemish control, and even a prescription Metronidazole cream. So far, none of them have worked for me, unfortunately.

I saw an ad on Facebook for Curology, something about first month free just pay shipping. Sweet deal. I checked out the comments before signing up. Some were more positive than others, but I figured for $5 it couldn’t hurt.

Clicking on the ad took me to the Curology website where first I was prompted to put in my zip code to ensure that Curology was available in my area. Next, I had to fill out a survey. They just wanted to know age, location of acne, and what types of products I’ve used in the past. Then I had to submit some unflattering pictures of my acne.

After my photos were accepted, a dermatologist viewed them and the information I provided, and came up up with a formula and treatment plan “custom tailored” to me. How exciting. The items shipped pretty quickly, and the dermatologist suggested a soap for me to wash my body to help any other acne I may have else where.

She provided a link to the product on Amazon that I could order with ease.

My formula arrive yesterday, so I am starting the treatment today. I’m nervous, but hope that it works.

I will be documenting my progress here and on social media, as best as I can.

My treatment plan is pretty easy:

  • Morning
    • Wash with gentle cleanser
    • Apply sunscreen
  • Evening
    • Wash with gentle cleanser
    • Apply thin layer of Curology and leave on while sleeping
    • Apply moisturizer

Here goes nothing! 🙂
